First let me say that I love Good Sam and the benefits it offers. However, I feel that it sends out way too many mailings. As a Business Consultant, it seems like a waste of money. For instance, I have received at least 5 offers to renew my membership after it was renewed over a month ago.Today, I received another renewal option mailing and an letter thanking me for renewal and offer of an Extended warranty program.I average about 2 mailings a week from Good Sam. That is a huge waste of money and paper. Maybe they should offer an email option and a opt out to paper mailings. I really don't like receiving all the Junk mail I get from Good Sam.How do the rest of the Forum members feel?ThanksKyle

Go to the Good Sam home page and then to your account. I believe there is an option there to opt out of mailings except for renewals. I did that years ago and now receive very little from Good Sam. I do get the Camping World flyers though all the time.I am pretty sure that option still exists.Barney

Per receiving junk mail, generally speaking:Since we heat with a wood stove, it's all just free fuel to us...lotta free BTU's in them there envelopes! ;)

I agree..too much mail. I have called them at least 3 times to have it stopped, they say it is handled yet it is still coming.

It looks like hat comment has been removed. The admin stated that it appeared there were two different locations listed.

Any programmer worth his salt can index a file by address, then run a program to identify duplicates.

Now, where it becomes difficult is when the addresses are not in standard format. But, software to ensure they meet USPS standards is readily available.

You can ixdex a file all day to identify duplicates. But the problem was not duplicate address and name. It was duplicate name and different addresses.

Would be difficult unless they could somehow search for duplicate member numbers. Certainly can't search on duplicate names since many folks share the same name. Anyway, not picking on your comment; just trying to understand.

Thanks for the feedback. Mark from the Good Sam Care Team corrected a duplicate address problem that should help.
Several of you mentioned going into my account and changing mail options. All I can find is the ability to change email options, not print.
Did I miss something?

As a previous poster said, go to the member page and select mail options and un-check all that you don't want to receive. I did this a couple of years ago and I only get those postal mailings and e-mails that I am interested in receiving.

I was a member five years ago but got so many temporary membership cards to so many different things that I got in a habit of just tossing them away. When my ACTUAL cards arrived I think I must have just tossed them because I never got them. By that time I no longer cared.
