Amount of mail

First let me say that I love Good Sam and the benefits it offers.

However, I feel that it sends out way too many mailings. As a Business Consultant, it seems like a waste of money. For instance, I have received at least 5 offers to renew my membership after it was renewed over a month ago.

Today, I received another renewal option mailing and an letter thanking me for renewal and offer of an Extended warranty program.

I average about 2 mailings a week from Good Sam. That is a huge waste of money and paper. Maybe they should offer an email option and a opt out to paper mailings. I really don't like receiving all the Junk mail I get from Good Sam.

How do the rest of the Forum members feel?

  • I agree..too much mail. I have called them at least 3 times to have it stopped, they say it is handled yet it is still coming.

    As a None-of-My-Business Consultant, I can't really express an opinion on what Good Sam does with its money.


    Per receiving junk mail, generally speaking:
    Since we heat with a wood stove, it's all just free fuel to us...lotta free BTU's in them there envelopes! ;)
  • Go to the Good Sam home page and then to your account. I believe there is an option there to opt out of mailings except for renewals. I did that years ago and now receive very little from Good Sam. I do get the Camping World flyers though all the time.
    I am pretty sure that option still exists.
