AZDryheat - naturally, hindsight is 20/20. I can always refinance, but the final agreement through GS was better than I could find elsewhere, locally or otherwise. We'll see if the servicing is similarly painful.
Jetboater454 - similar experience here. I do most of my banking through my credit union for that reason, even if their closest branch is 800+ miles from me.
Devocamper - The service was through and branded by Good Sam. The name of the lender was revealed early, so my assumption was that was who was actually handling the deal.
Wanderingaimlessly - no pitches before, during or after the sale. I also didn't do the loan through the dealer, but directly through the Good Sam contacts on the club site.
Janstey58 - I've had dealers (cars, not RVs), try this trick, I suspect because the dealers commonly get a kickback for referrals. I just always bring my own financing so I don't get any last minute surprises ("oops, your credit isn't good enough for the quoted rate, so we jacked it up 2 points").
