Bad experience so far

Broke down in traffic GS said would call tech. Found out they were sending a guy from Conway, Ark and I was on I-30 South of Little Rock. Too long to get there so I called him and canceled. Found shop myself to take coach to 7 miles away. They refused to tow. Now they say sending claim form. Still waiting for form. Member since 08 and first time to use. Really poor service. GS people on Roadside assistance seem too care less about you being broke down in traffic.

OK got the claim form and filed and today got a full payment check for my towing. They did honor their commitment. They could have done this up front but it was taken care of and I am satisfied with the outcome.

  • Hello dstansel,

I have located your membership and see that you requested a claim form 5 days ago, please allow up to 10 business days for the claim form to arrive in the mail. You can also log onto www.goodsamroadside.com to submit a claim online.

    Regards,

You were given service but you did not like it so you chose your own company. I do not feel GSra failed and I do not think you should be reimbursed.
What is it 45 miles Conway to Little ROck.
Do you think they should just dispatch the closest no matter the cost?
You called , they found someone in network, you refused, YOU PAY

Breaking down in traffic on a major interstate poses some very serious safety issues which should be the first priority for GSRA...not which company is the cheapest. In this case THE CLOSEST and the FASTEST should have been who was called/

The OP has the issue right. GSRA should have been more sensitive to the issue of safety. He should NOT pay. If "in network" means that they are putting lives and vehicles in increased risk for longer periods of time it is definitely a GSRA failure.

There seems to be a whole lot of negative reports lately about GSERS, Camping World, and in general the whole corporation. I think they grew too big to fast, now the growing pains are catching up with them.

I think you re right, at least in part, about their problems, they have grown faster than their planning and strategy can keep up with.
