Bad Roadside assistance
Today I had the misfortune to need to use my CS Road side service. I was in MH with a toad Jeep. Both front wheels on the Jeep locked tight. I did not even know it till the MH started pulling very hard. I looked in my rearview mirror and seen smoke.
I was in a Construction Zone, 2 lane road. By the I got off the lane as far as I could with out sinking the coach in the mud. Upon inspection of the Jeep both front tires had slid on the pavement till the wore all the way to the rim. Called GS Roadside assistance. It took the gal about 15 minutes questioning me as to why I needed a wrecker. Then another 10 minutes or more trying to explain my location to her. Then she put me on hold for another 15 minutes I handed the wife the phone as a state trooper had stopped and I went out to speak with him. My wife waited a complete 45 minutes on hold, while I spoke with the trooper as he wanted me to get the rig to a safer location. He explained there was wrecked service just 3 miles down the road from where I was and gave me the name and Phone # of the wrecker service. I returned back to the phone instructed my wife to hang up. I called again and explained to the person that I had been put on hold for over an hour, so After explaining to her that there was a wrecker service with in 3 miles of my location and giving her the phone number of he wrecker service she placed me on hold for another about 10 minutes. She did come back on the line and informed me she had given the information to the lady that I spoke with first, and said the lady would call me back and verify that she was sending a wrecker. She
did call me back in about 20 minutes and said the wrecker would be there in about 35 minutes.
The wrecker did show up in less that 35 minutes and loaded the Jeep and to the Jeep dealer he went which was only about 5 miles away.
Of course they had no wheels or tires to fit my Jeep so they have to order them Monday then see if they can figure out why the front wheels locked up. We were only about 3 hours into our trip of about 1100 miles so we just left the jeep and came back home.
I just want to say the ladies need more training and learn to be a little faster and not place a person on hold for an hour.
