Hey Sam Spade, I got the info I needed to get the answer...so I guess this was a fine place to post a question.
Thanks everyone.
And the information that you needed was to CONTACT THE GOOD SAM PEOPLE DIRECTLY. Which is what I told you to do.
I see nothing wrong to post the question on the Good Sam forum. The answer may be something we all need to know. - 1968mooneyExplorer

Why has my bank account been charged $1 by Good Sam. I have made no changes and have nothing due????!?
It is a common occurrence and is only a temporary charge. It will disappear before your next statement.
You have something coming due and have authorized an automatic renewal is the usual reason. This can happen a month or more before your payment is due. This allows them time to contact you should your Credit Card number have changed and your coverage will not lapse due to non payment. It will drop off and you will pay no interest on the amount.
If they do not do this and you forget to update your account you could be on the road and have no roadside coverage for example.
Correct, this has come up before. - 2oldmanExplorer II

Thanks. Posting this should remind more members to check their accounts and not assume it's a service charge. - chefdc1ExplorerI'm waiting for Good Sam to get back to me...I'll let you all know.

Good answer - I would bet money it was an authorization and not an actual charge
I bet this $1 will not effect their credit rating LOL
