Best Good Sam Emergency Road Side Program For Tow Vehicle

My wife and I have a 2002 Ford truck with a 7.3 diesel engine. I keep the truck in good shape with regular maintenance. Also I keep our 2010 travel trailer in good shape too with a regular maintenance program.

While it has been mostly problem free in 180K miles, I believe if we have a mechanical problem on the road, it will be with our truck as it is getting to be old like me!

Which of the Good Sams Emergency Roadside Assistance programs provide the best coverage for tow vehicles such as ours? Thanks in advance.

  • Thank you for the post TECMike. There are actually 3 plans currently offered as Platinum Plus was added earlier this year. The Platinum Plus program provides the option of having your disabled vehicle delivered to the destination of your choice within 100 miles of the disablement location. I provided a link below that will allow you to compare each of our programs and benefits. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our member service department at 800-842-5351. Thank you, Zach

    There are 2 plans:
    1. basic plan
    2. Platinum
The Platinum cost a few dollars more but offers more services. The cost difference is insignificant and is well worth the few dollars to go with the Platinum Plan. One tow or break down will cost more than your yearly Platinum plan. My trailer broke a rear spring and had to be wenched up onto a flat bed trailer. The nearest repair facility was 30 miles away, cost of tow was $1200!!!!! which my Platinum plan paid for. No cost to me:)
  • We have the GS Road service and used it twice. Both times they called back to make sure service came to help us. Didn't know there were more them one plan. We also have coverage for our car, this is a add on. Like I said there service is a A+.
