Nobody is answering or addressing the many complaints posted to the Forum Tech Issues or the Mexico forum.
So I disagree this is the right place to air this as RV.Net is surely part of GSE and GSC.
Will someone address this issue in detail with possibly a time frame for a fix. There are still many problems with posting as well as access and I am still experiencing those as I write this.
How dare they be unresponsive with all the money we pay for this forum!:S
The forum works on a particular day - great. The forum doesn't work on a particular day - oh well, I move on. The forum administration owes me nothing.
Yours is a comment that comes up here every so often. And the logic is well...less than logical.
First of all many of us who are members and customers of GSE and Good Sam Club and Camping world most certainly DO PAY for this site. Nothing is free. Period. GoodSam Ent. runs this site and pays for it. They do that with the dollars we spend in GSE businesses like CW.
Secondly when a forum is down for a DAY it is no big deal. But when a forum is down for 8 days they have a serious problem and they may not realize it (I know it sounds odd but it is true) They need the people who use it to tell them what is going on.
Thirdly Just because something like this forum, or a restroom in a mall, or any other Public facility is supposedly (and mistakenly) thought of as free doesnt mean that the operator of that facility can just ignore problems. (I dont think they ignored this problem they just didnt communicate what the issue was or when it might be fixed)
There is a "Reasonable Expectation" on the part of the users that issues will be dealt with.
So NO this is not a free forum in fact they allow Real Media and Google analytics to track what you write and do on this forum and this results in targeted ads to your computer.
But most importantly of all. This is an invaluable resource for GSE and all it's companies to hear directly from their customers, see possible trends, solve Customer service issues and put out information. They are profiting from this in more ways than one. Expecting some answers when it hasnt worked for 8 days is not unreasonable.
