Oh, fer cryin' out loud- What's with the third degree???? Does anyone think there's a one-size-fits-all answer beyond that already given?

A bunch of anonymous posters trying to extract a Globally Enforceable, Specific Promise from a company courteous enough to respond in public at all....ridiculous!

With all due respect, I disagree. I think the best forum to accomplish the answer to his questions is right here! I, for one, am very interested in the answer to his latest question and am sure many other of our members are also. I also don't think I should have to make a phone call to find out the answer since the question was asked here. After all, the name of this forum is "Good Sam Roadside Assistance".

Barney, "with all due respect", I value the information on the RV.net forum as much as you do but at the end of the day, who pays for the ERS tow costs? Frank? Barney? or me?
If there is a dispute, need for final clarification or misunderstanding regarding the ERS tow services, I personally would want to use information/answers from both the RV.net forum and Good Sam Roadside member services. :)

If the repairs on your truck are serious enough that they will take several days to complete, Good Sam Roadside Assistance will pay to have your fifth wheel or travel trailer taken to a safe location, such as the nearest campground while you wait.



Several days? What if the truck can't be repaired until the next day?

Broke down 40 miles west of Phoenix. Called GS Emergency Roadside Assistance. Tow truck arrived in 40 min. I was towing a 32' TT with my 3500 Dodge Diesel. Tow driver unhooked the trailer, winched the truck up on the flat bed, reconnected the TT to the tow truck. Tow truck drove to the Dodge Dealer, unhooked the TT, unloaded the truck at the dealer. Then hooked my trailer up again and drove the TT to our RV Resort 20 miles away and completely set it up in our yearly reserved site. The Dodge dealer arranged for a car rental. Dealer called me the next morning, the fuel pump was bad which would take 2 days to replace. 2 days later dealer called and I picked up the truck.
All of this service took one phone call from my cell phone:):):) All of this service for $120 per year!!!!!
On another ERS incident, the rear spring on the TT broke, pushing the trailer tires together. Called GS, the tow truck arrived 30 min. later. Unhooked the TT and winched the trailer up onto a flat bed trailer. Drove the trailer 35 miles to a truck repair facility that could work on the springs. Just out of curiosity, I asked the tow operator how much this tow would have cost without my Good Sam ERS, "$1200". This service was at no cost to me. The repair shop ordered and replaced broken spring in 3 days.:):):):)
2 years later I had the same experience with a broken rear spring:( Same service, winched the trailer onto a flat bed trailer and drove it 40 miles to a truck repair shop. I told them to replace the whole suspension system on both sides of the trailer. 1 day later I was back on the road. :) No cost for tow service to me:):) All this service with just a cell phone to Good Sam:)

And we ALL would like to see what this answer would be, now that the question was asked, specifically. A phone call will only satisfy the caller.
If your going to respond then how about a full answer?
