C2C Premier or Deluxe?

When you "buy" a membership in a campground & then join C2C, how much extra does it cost? Are you always able to join them after you purchase membership in one of the member parks. or does the person yu buy from need to have exercised that option originally?

When you go to a C2C with a Premier or Deluxe membership level, do the parks where they contract limit the number of spaces for each level: ie: 3 for Premier, 4 for Deluxe & 7 for Classic, or does C2C just contract for 14 spaces for whoever comes regardless of membership level?

I'm curious about how many of you have found that, when you arrive, you are given "good" spots vs the dregs by the highway etc.

Thanks!

I like to peruse the bad reviews on rvparkreviews.com. It sure seems a common theme is C2C and other membership guests tend to get the less desirable spots. Kind of makes sense in that a park is going to get $30 to $50 per night from the full priced guests and less than $10 from the membership guests. I'd be saving the best sites for the biggest spenders myself.

Very few parks honor the $15/night. They tack on additional fees, usually $3-5/night. By the time you factor in those fees, what you pay to C2C and the $150/year dues, you're paying pretty close to standard rates for far less desirable sites.
  • We are new members to C2C. We have the Premier Membership and have booked into a few CG's. A couple were totally free and others we had to pay for ....
50 amp, WIFI, resort fees. The most that we paid was $33.00 for seven nights.

We found out that the GNP parks are NOT $10/night. They are charging whatever they feel like and you need to buy tripsetter points to go to these parks.

As a Canadian, there are so few parks to travel in Canada and trying to book into one of them during June to Sept. is nearly impossible. They have very few spaces for "clubs".
  • I thought that by purchasing a premier site, one that doesn't cost each night, we would not need ROD. So, if we "buy" into a premier park, are we limited to just getting into the premier parks for no additional money, or does it mean that we don't pay at any C2C parks except for 50 amp service? I also thought that buy purchasing into a deluxe park that we would be able to stay 14 days, and not just the 7 of the classic parks... Thanks!
  • We have C2C Deluxe.....allows for up to 14 days at a Deluxe Affiliate CGs (still only up to 7 days at Classic CGs)

We have used it for 7 yrs. FT.

We have been in 100's of Affiliate CGs using C2C

Majority of CGs just check you end and allow you to go pick a to site based on your choice of 50A or 30A (you pay extra for 50A)

Resorts.....that's a different story. They seem to 'categorize' the sites.
And C2C (RPI, AOR etc) DON'T get the premium sites. But for $10/night I still get to use the pool, the spa, the rec room, the 'other' facilities just like the high end sites.

  • I have found that most parks will let you pick your site. One piece of advise try to find someone selling their membership, it is usually cents on the dollar.
