on 11th of june, on our way home from florida, i stopped a roadside res outside of ST Augustine. while there i was walking the dog and checking out my tt for any possible problem. i soon discover i have a tire that is in need of changing. having purchased road assistance from camping world, i limped to their nearest store. tried to buy a new tire. well they didn't have one in the size i needed. so i showed them my good sam card and asked that they put on my spare. i could have done it, but being 70 years old and having purchased the assistance, why not use it? well camping world told me they didn't honor good sam. i could call for a service from good sam or pay them to change it!! calling for service they said it would be sometime in the afternoon, it was 8 am. well $81 dollars and 2 hrs later i was on the road. camping world said good sam SHOULD reimburse me. time will tell.

You should use capitol letters too - just saying. Consider doing a little research here and elsewhere on the web. You will quickly see that GS is not a particularly good road-side assistance plan and often leaves people sitting. That being said, they will probably reimburse you after your post here.

We had GS roadside and found out that they only tow to there chosen repair places. I had a trusted repair center that I had used before, but they wouldn’t tow there. I called AAA and they said no-problem with any service center I wanted. So we switched to AAA plus-RV. I haven’t used it yet (and hope I never have to) but now I’m towed to where I want to go.

I've been a member for 25+ years and only needed them twice, including this one. Traveling on 27 June 2018, I-24 just on TN/KY line, pulled in to the rest/welcome area. Checked TT hubs, one very hot. Lost dust cap and threw all grease out. Called GS ERS for a roadside repair tech, and stated my problem. They asked if I needed a tow, I said that wouldn't help and that I needed a mechanic with parts. After a while they called back and told me nobody was available for 50 miles and to call back next morning a 6am to try again. After some research, found Auto Zone in Clarksville, TN open, Kim answered, she did not have the bearing but knew a local guy that could take a look. Luis was there in 30 minutes, went to locate the parts (on a sunday/holiday wkend) back in a couple of hours, made the repair and sent me on my way. He would not take more than $100 including parts. Must mention I called Auto Zone regional supver and asked, she (Kim) be highly rewarded for going well above and beyond. Of course, I thanked her tall and told her what I did. Today, I called GS back after calling last week and got nowhere, I think I don't need them or any other company. We have Google

Good Sam ERS was wonderful to me four times . Changed motorhome tire twice , towed motorhome once and changed trailer tire another time . I kinda like em ! No problems .

Add me to the list the good sam sucks! Left my wife stranded on the highway for over four hours at night with a SIMPLE flat. They sent someone who could not find her car, well of course not he was looking for the thirty miles away. Called them back and they said they could not get anyone to help her. I left work to drive the 90 minutes to change the tire. She called me and said that a state trooper stopped and he was changing it for her. This was on 495 in MA not like she was in the boonies. She now can change a tire herself.

That’s a capital idea!

I don’t bother to criticize other’s grammar, but posts are easier to read with when grammatically correct.
Sometimes, some posts have to be interpreted. It’s not particularly helpful when someone wants assistance with an issue.
Just saying, in general, not directed towards any one person.

GS roadside assist is a bad joke. Used them twice. The first time I had a blowout on I-49 in summer of 2012. They called someone out of a nearby town and it took him about 2 hours to arrive. Ok, I understand I’m not the only one around. I expected a large pickup truck with a tool box and a real compressor. After my wait some guy pulls up in an early 80’s Datsun. He has a Harbor Freight 12v air pump, A bottle jack and a 4 way lug wrench. WE finally got the thing back on the road. A few weeks later I contacted them over a burnt bearing. They told me I had used all of my roadside assistance benefits for the year and would not send help.
That was the last time I used them.

My understanding is that Good Sam/Camping World sells ERS that is actually Allstate. That said, it builds good customer relations when a dealer goes above and beyond what is required.

They weren't obligated to help you at the dealership but they left you pissed off which has now been shared with thousands of others.
