Affinity no longer exists as the umbrella company, it has been Good Sam Enterprises for at least a couple years. Marcus is an employee and probably a part owner, he is not 'the' owner. - IvylogExplorer IIITiny, even before smart phones CG books were the last thing I used. Can't remember the last time I used one of them but we rarely make advced reservations.
- TinyoneRVExplorerIvylog, Interesting comment. We use the Campground directory exclusively to locate overnight stops. We have found some that aren't in the book but those were more like resorts than overnight stops.
- IvylogExplorer IIIThey (Affinity Group Inc) use the long times we spend on the forums to con CG owners into thinking that people going to Woodalls.com/Goodsams.com spend more time on their sites (over other sites) so they can charge the CG owners more for their services. That was the final straw ten years ago when I stopped using their expensive services to advertise my CG.

The only time an account would be deleted is when there is abuse. It may be language, threats, or anything we deem harassing. We appreciate all comments otherwise, the good, bad and the ugly.
