Camping World sale emails

Are CW retail stores required to honor the sale emails, if they don't say Internet only?

  • I find the local CW store not honoring sale prices in emails and mailed ads to be very common. Item(s) are not marked internet only but the local store will not match, claim the price does not include shipping and handling.

I take it as local CW store is trying to blame corp. or false advertising as the prices shown do not include shipping and handling. Camping World seems to operate in the dark ages when it comes to the internet policies, pricing between internet and local stores. Many box stores will ship an item from their website to the local store without added shipping charges.

If Marcus was as hard nosed in cleaning up his local CW operations as he is on "the profit" he just might end up with a company people would like.

I for one will not sit around and wait - Amazon, local RV dealer (who will match and internet price and provides great service) and Walmart here i come. Just a better experience all around.
  • The store I went to is on Dick Pond Rd in Myrtle Beach SC. This was on Saturday last.
  • Hello legault49, thank you for your time and comment. I apologize for the inconsistency from the retail stores. I will look into this issue and follow up with you.
    Have a good day.

    Thank you,

  • I received an email from CW advertising a side table on sale. When I went to the local retail store, I was told they would not match the price, because they had to pay shipping and handling. I had a copy of the ad on my phone. When I showed it to them that's when they said they wouldn't match. The ad didn't say Internet only. Another store we were in in another state said we would have to pay shipping even though we were at the store. It just seems they should be more consistent.
  • You should probably be a bit more specific. I personally have never experienced a price problem with my local CW. Was an e-mail sent with an error in the pricing? If so, I would expect an apology, not an unreasonable discount. If ordered on-line, is it price plus shipping? Are we talking sales tax?
Guess I'm just a bit confused by the post/rant.
    Happy Trails.

My local CW would honor the CW website price if there was a difference or if you had a copy of the circular. Price should be the same no matter what.
