Changed Insurance from NG to Progressive

Today I called Progressive Insurance. With their rate for my RV they are far inexpensive then National General. So today NG will be cancelled. They saved my $$ on full timers insurance. Plus adding my truck to their policy, or rather mine will save me even more. So today GN will get a call to cancel my policy with them. Progressive RV Insurance told me they cover your slide out issues, if water gets in from the slide or windows etc. That pleased me a lot. So bye bye NG I was with you since I bought my coach in 04, but not no more.

  • Just read the 'entire' policy small print. Many of these companies give you a lower rate and buried in the policy it states rate good for 'one' year. Then bam they jack it up and many end up with a cost higher than their original policy was. Just saying seen it happen to quite a few of my senior friends looking to reduce their policies.
  • We had NG (from GS) and while their rates were sufficient, I happened to get a ticket (first one in over 20 years) and they almost tripled my rate.

I then researched and got 10 (yes, 10) quotes from just about everyone I could think of (including Progressive) for our four cars and the motor home. Believe it or not, Geico was the lowest and was even lower than my previous NG rate before the ticket.

Of course, next year they will probably raise my rate and I'll have to do it all over again. Point is, check "MANY" different companies for the lowest. You'll be surprised how different they will be.

  • Check out National Interstate Ins. for Full Timers coverage PLUS your tow vehicle.

We were with them for 7 yrs that we FTd.

2 claims (1 Major). Both handled quick, efficiently.......no hassles and they followed up afterwards.
Best bang for the buck we could find
