I have my F350 DRW registered in MA where the law requires any pickup truck with more than 4 wheels to be registered as a commercial vehicle even though it is for personal use only.I also have Good Sam Roadside assistanceI have heard that Good Sam does not offer roadside assistance to commercial vehicles and that I were to need them they would not render service to me and my truck camper. Is this true?

New York requires all trucks over 6000lbs unladen weight to be registered commercial with very few exceptions. Trucks under 6000 lbs may be registered as either passenger or commercial. Having passenger plates will exempt you from some parking restrictions in some jurisdictions and allow you to operate on some parkways.

Many states require trucks over a certain GVWR to have commercial plates...I had to on both my F-350s. (RI-over 8600 GVWR.)

My truck's have commercial plates and also have GSRS. Never once have I had a problem when truck ('03) had to get towed. All personal use.
