This is why I suggested posting resolutions to issues posted here. I was told that could not be done because of privacy. If they adhered to that, we could only assume that the unit was sold with a deposit paid. No we know that was not true.
What we don't know is:
1. Is the OP telling the truth? Perhaps he is fabricating his story for his own reasons.
2. The salesperson was trying to upsell the OP and made up the story.
3. The salesperson made an honest mistake and thought that unit had been sold.
4. The OP misunderstood what the salesman told him.
Regardless, you have to give Marcus a lot of credit on this one.
