We see it all the time in the Auto business. Customer can't get financing and then goes off on the dealership. All sorts of lies to cover up the fact they have credit problems. It is never their fault. Always bad salesman, bad finance department, bad car, evil credit bureau, crooked credit card companies, everything but their failure to pay their bills on time. Since the guy spent all weekend trying to get financing and then was "backing out" tells me the money didn't come through. But why blame yourself for your own problems when you can blame someone else.
