You read correctly. We call ahead and ask about specials and discounts. Stayed 3 days in one RV park and only gave a discount with GS membership. Another park 1 day and got the discount. The other RV parks where I stayed more than 3 days gave discounted rates without the GS card. Traveled through Utah, California, Arizona, and Nevada. 4 days at an RV park in Quartzsite no discounts because of the busy season and dry camped a couple weeks in Quartzsite. BTW, off subject, but I have a Passport America membership and haven't found a RV park that would accept it yet. Just got back to the snow country in WY last week. JMHO
