Does Travel Assist cover RV return criteria question
A lot of medical evacuation insurance policies cover "rv return". Most aren't very clear on the criteria for this, but I've found that some of the ones that are (like I think the FMCA Seven Corners add on works) say that it applies when the driver is med evacuated from one hospital to the other.
So it appears rv return would not be covered if the only driver broke his leg (or had another injury ) that could be treated locally and he could not or the doctor would not allow driving for many weeks.
The Good Sam Travel Assist policy says "If you and your traveling companion aren't able to drive, Good Sam TravelAssist will send out a professional driver to get your vehicle home. Indeed, this is one of the most utilized benefits in the Good Sam TravelAssist program."
Am I correct in understanding that to include injuries or surgeries where the only driver is no longer capable or medically allowed to drive, regardless of whether the driver was hospitalized for a certain number of days or med evacuated?
Thanks for any feedback, it is so hard to understand for sure what would be covered.
