ESP Quote - 3 days and waiting
I was searching on line (Good Sam site) for information on how to get a quote for ESP insurance on my 2002 Winnebago Adventurer when one of those little "Hi, I am an agent" things popped up and I responded to someone named Louie that I was looking for some quotes on things like ESP and other RV Protection plans. Louie took all my information and said he would give it to his internet manager and I would be sent the quotes via email. That was 3 days ago and nothing has been sent.
Then this morning, after a lot of rigamarole, I managed to buy some Roadside Assistance but it was not easy to figure out online that my Roadside Assistance number is completely different from my Good Sam number. Many moons ago, things were a lot simpler but the guy on the phone said that the GS number was only good for buying stuff in the store and getting a magazine. Then he proceeded with the hard sell on RA. I just wanted the one year at $79.95 but was being quoted many different figures for various lengths but was told I could not get the 'introductory price' because I had previously had a policy (expired almost 2 years ago) on a trailer that was sold. Eventually I hung up but he called right back and apologized and then said OK I can sell you the one year at $79.95 - which is all I ever wanted. Sometimes I think these insurance guys have a policy that says "If it ain't broke, break it." That's my tale of woe and I'm sticking to it.
