Now I've called to cancel the policy and they said they can't cancel our policy because THEY HAVEN'T SENT US OUR CHECK YET! So you must keep paying monthly until they decide to send you your check. This doesn't' seem legal to me. The only thing that matters is that we were current and covered on the date of the claim.
This program is sold with the promise that you can cancel at anytime, and I think I saw something about it might be prorated, but nothing about this issue.
I have requested to speak to a supervisor so we'll see what happens.
Supervisor called and said there was a misunderstanding. You can cancel before they write the check but not before they fully investigate the claims you've made. If you cancel before the claim is closed then you don't have a policy and your claim is closed also. close your claim to early and you won't be reimbursed. I appreciate them calling and watching this forum but both customer service people I talked to made it clear that I couldn't cancel until they wrote us a check. More training is needed for the CSR for sure. I have since received reimbursement for a blown tire. Also was reminded that they don't pay for mobile RV repair SERVICE charges. Something to consider. Our guy repaired the RV next to us then ours and still charged us a $100 service charge. My local guy at home only charges $35..
