Good Sam Care Team - LynandRicky2018ExplorerThe warranty offered by Campers Inn is the Platinum Plan by American Guardian Warranty Services (Exclusionary). If I don't get the warranty the day I purchase but elect to get it 6 months later, does the warranty company send someone to inspect my Fifth Wheel to determine if there is anything pre-existing?

Good Sam Care Team - gboppExplorerI think Extended Warranties (insurance policies) are a good thing, for the seller.
Ask for a blank copy so you can see all the exclusions. - midnightsadieExplorer IIput the money in the bank, add a little. then when some thing breaks you know its covered. call a local tech and they come to you no hassle of leaving your rv at the dealer for a month or so. p.s the sales guy gets a huge chunk of that 3k. after all he,s a sales person. doing his job sucking every penny he can from your pocket.
- HalmfamilyExplorerThe last warranty I purchased, and then refunded six months later, I payed $1800 for seven years. The dealer started out at $3200 and kept reducing the price until I relented. These are profit monsters for dealers. I took the $1800 and added additional money into our RV fund. In three years haven't touched it.
- BusdriverExplorer IIIi feel if you finance the unit I would say yes if not no that is to much a friend of mine got a seven year for 2600.00 with a 100 dollar deductible

We are looking at a 2016 Chaparral Coachman Fifth wheel from Campers Inn and of course they want us to purchase the extended warranty from them for $3,100. How do I get a quote from Good Sam?
Keep your guard up dealing with those people. Be careful. Expect them to push a lot more than just the service contracts. Do a thorough PDI and get every single thing fixed before you sign on the line, because getting them to do anything in a timely and competent manner afterward will most likely be an exercise in frustration.
They say they are "The RVers trusted resource". That trusted resource lasts right up until you sign the documents, then Campers Inn will quickly forget all about you. All that other feely good stuff like the Youtube vids from the CEO and such, are simply BS.
You'll quickly find out that all they care about is the monthly sales quotas as their whole business model is geared towards max profits for the investment group. Service after the sale hardly exists. They are not your friend, nor your local mom and pop dealer. But they will be your friend right up until you hand them the money. - MarkTwainExplorer

First question is what does it cover and are those parts likely to fail. 99% of the time, you will be better off putting the $3k in an account to cover unexpected issues and just pay for them yourself.
X1! The warranty has to many exclusions and you need a lawyer to understand the warranty coverage. Just put some money aside for the rainey day:)
