Sounds like something a lawyer should get involved with, especially if they are holding your rv hostage. If they were aware that you had an extended warranty then it was up to them to get the repairs approved before doing the work. Even if they weren't aware, you should've been given a repair estimate for approval first. There is no way I would allow $4k of repairs to be done without my consent first.
Sounds typical of extended warranties though. They'll always find a way to try and get of paying for it.
