After reading all the "complaints" in these forums, I feel Camping world is going out of business very quickly. They have NO customers and are laying off all the salesman, mechanics, and parts rep. I bet they will completely gone in a few months. :h Have you tried to get into one lately? Cannot find a place to park due too customers. Same for service dept. Get a appointment 6 mo. out and then wait 9 mo. to a year before repairs are done. Marcus is shaking in his shoes at the complaints that are aired here. :h
So, you're implying that because CW is so big and has a large customer base and Marcus is so wealthy, that makes bad customer service to be expected and acceptable? I'm not sure that I get your point?
My point is, posters complain on this forum hoping to hurt CW and their business. They may as well save their keystrokes because it is not working. If anything, it is helping CW. So do you get it now? :S
Well, I guess i will speak up as I am the owner of this thread. Everyone is entitled to their opinion (especially on the Internet) but I think you have the wrong perspective. Most people post hoping to get assistance with an issue that cant be resolved by "typical means" i.e. face to face. When a large corporation/ nationwide business doesn't address issue "locally" the next step is to take it to corporate. When Corporate is not responsive you used to have no additional resources to bring about resolution. With social media (forums like this) there is an additional way to get their attention. It now becomes a situation where the world (or those interested) get to see for how a business deals with these issues. I tried to resolve this - locally - via corporate communications - and when none of that brought the slightest amount of attention I brought my issue here. The "rest of the story" as they say can be reviewed by reading this thread.
I respectfully disagree with your view. This thread has almost 3000 views. I seriously doubt that this has not changed a few CW Customer opinions. At a minimum it may have changed a few folk's view of purchasing a service plan from CW or visiting a CW or making a future purchase from CW. It is a time proven fact that businesses that ignore customer dis-satisfaction suffer. The bigger the business the longer it may take - it comes back to bite you. I am looking to purchase a new RV this year. Will I go back to a CW store to shop for an RV? maybe.
Will I go back to Chichester NH CW- No. Will I buy a CW extended warranty? No. Will I purchase all the "necessary RV'ing goodies from CW ? No. I also don't consider myself a loyal CW customer anymore. If you are not interested in their service network there are a lot of other people to buy an RV from. All I wanted was my RV fixed as per my contract- nothing more- and nothing less.
Read my previous post. I have no problem with asking CW Corp. for help with a problem. Only problem I have is with the ranting and raving, which is nothing but trying to hurt CW business. I can appreciate you expecting what you paid for when purchase was made. Cannot understand purchasing another RV after owing 1 previously.
