Family Motor Coach - where do they fit in?

Obviously there is endless discussion here regarding GSRA, and it often leads to references about satisfaction or problems with CoachNet, but I never seen mention of Family Motor Coach. Why is that? They offer some/many of the same services, so are people just thinking they are no longer in the game?

I think they did but no longer. Think FMCA now promotes some other road service. Think Coach net severed ties.

Do you know who FMCA is now promoting as road service? I've always had Coach Net since becoming a FMCA member and wonder if there might be a reason FMCA is no longer associated with Coach Net.

Is Progressive any good? We have them on our cars and will be putting the new rv with them as well. We are looking for a good company for emergency service

I love Progressive. Never used their RA, but as I remember it is real cheap. Lost an awning last year, and they were very quick, concerned, thorough, and worked with the repair facility in a professional manner. Top grade in that respect.

I didn't realize Family Motor Coach was an emergency roadside assistance provider :?

mmmm no, and maybe I should have put this in a different forum. They do offer medical assist, with vehicle return etc., similar to Good Sam, but not roadside assistance. Good point to clarify.

Okay. Usually when we discuss Good Sam and Coach-Net, we're talking about Emergency Roadside Assistance.
You are correct, FMCA offers similar services, just not roadside assistance.

I had to use Progressive's road side service one time. Their people were very helpful. The service provider where I was at the time took their sweet time (hours) getting there but once the driver showed up he was quite nice and helpful. Fortunately we were at a state park 20 minutes from home when we needed the service so we were not all that put out.Progressive did a follow-up call and sent me a $25 gift card for my troubles. I've kept their service.
