I just got off the phone with a gentleman from GS who called in response to this thread. I posed the scenario of a shop 1 mile away with a 2 week wait and far more expensive vs a shop 5 miles away immediately available do to the repair under warranty. He said the customer would have to pay the difference for the tow. I told him that is very anti-customer and doesn't command my respect. The gentleman who called was very polite and heard me out but he maintained the company policy.
