Thanks for the replys.
I did call GS, got a couple shops names, and went with these guys because I only had the wait a month to get in. The other shop had a three month wait for an appt. Having said that, sure would be a good idea for someone to open a RV repair shop in the Nacogdoches, Tx area. They are always backlogged.
I thought going in that it was going to be a good experience, but should have known when I inquired about putting the RV on consignment there and they quoted way below the book value for my RV. Not sure I understand why a sales business would low ball a potential customer, with no inventory cost I would have thought the mistake would be on the high side, not 35-50k to the low side.
I also think the only reason they did not satisfy me is they seem to be extremely unorganized. Very typical here in east Tx though. It is very laid back here, great for retirement, but absolutely nuts if you need something done.
I actually have another issue with the RV, but am going to wait till the end of summer to have it addressed on our way back from our summer trip. Not going to do it around here for sure!! It is only the dash heater/ac vent seems to be unable to switch between vents, so we can live with that because we will be sitting in the same spot for four months once we get up there. Unless we take a trip between now and then, at which point we may look into trying to get into a shop somewhere else.
Again thanks for the replies, I used Goo Gone to get the residue off, followed by a good cleaning and wax to the area. Just had neck surgery. so it wasn't easy, but got it done.
