Full timers insurance no good?
Hi, in July of 2017 my house burn't down and in the process damaged my mother's Cherokee 285b+ 5th wheel RV. The insurance company has fought her every step of the way and have paid to date $1400. Today (March 15 2018) they call to say they are denying any and all contents coverage, implied that the RV might have had pre existing damage (insured by Good Sam's fulltimer's insurance since day one in 2007) and after all these months of telling us that once we can get it to a shop they will reopen the claim if the shop finds additional damage, now they say 'yeah IF it was caused by the fire' in a really dismissive fashion. At the very least there is additional damage to all the wiring (switches, control panel etc) adjacent to the entry door, and the guy at the shop says he believes there to be structural damage inside the wall. We have just about removed enough debris from my house fire to accommodate getting this RV to the dealer, but I'm terrified for my mother that after the shop opens it up, the insurance won't pay and mom will have in effect given her RV to the shop. Is this normal?
PS. The insurance won't pay one single dime to get this RV to the nearest shop 90 mile away.
