I own a 2013 Thor ACE purchased at camping world, invested the thousands of dollars on the good sam extented plan, and now that I have a major problem witht he coach, good sam is beating around the bush, saying maybe your manfactur warranty covers that, and if they dont we only cover so much, really I though they were better than that, they know when the coach was bought and that the manafactur warranty is up,not really happy with either camping world or good sam and this waiting for a supervisor to call.

As of the end of the day Thor said they would send the part for the slide and good sam said they would cover it if they can do it in a specified amount of time, we will see, I hope Good Sam keeps there promise of satisfaction guaranteed. we will see.

Just an update on the issue, picked up the coach today slide is fixed and it took the dealer 6 hours of labor which good sam is going to cover in full minus my deductible, which is great thx Scott Blanc for all of your help in this matter I am very happy with the outcome:)hopefully next year is stress free camping year, Happy Thanksgiving to all.

If you bought it in August of 2013 as you mentioned previously, then the manufacturers warranty won't end until August 2014.

The Good Sam Extended Service Plan starts right when the manufactures warranty ends. If a part is still covered through the manufacture then they would be responsible for the repair/replacement. Once that manufactures warranty expires then GS ESP coverage starts immediately for covered items.

Just so we are all clear my 1 year MW has expired that is why I went through my good sam one. I will post the results once the motorhome is fixed.

I'll bet there is wording in GS policy that if your unit is covered under the FACTORY warranty.....GS provisions do not apply.

The exception might be if the factory warranty left out something like seals/gaskets, etc. and GS had them in their warranty.....GS would come thru for you.

The extended warranty goes beyond your 1 year manufacturers warranty. Exery thing should be covered 100% from manufacturer for one year from date of purchase. Extended warranty will cover "most" other things beyond that one year, but not everything.

If you submitted through the extended warranty, then you wasted your deductible.

NO, The whole thing should be covered for 1 year from manufacture.
