I just ordered a new Good Sam Campground directory. Several years ago they offered two directories, one for West and one for the East, now it’s just one big book, that take up to much room and is hard to use, we liked the smaller one. I asked if they had any plans to bring back the two directories, and was told not for this year but they have had a number of requests to go back the way it was. If your like us and would like to have the two smaller directories please call Good Sam and just request it 800 234 3450. Maybe a few more calls will push them over.Thanks for your help.

Personally I would like to see it formatted for iPad/ tablet and call it a day.

I really don't mind the big single book. Even if I don't travel east of the Mississippi I like to be able to reference places listed in the magazines or in blogs. My vote is to keep it complete.

My beef is that, though the book is even bigger than the old TL directory (which we used regularly), it has even less information about CGs that aren't specifically Good Sam members. State parks are almost nonexistent in there.

Use a utility knife and slit the directory down the center of the back if two books are desired. That will get both books for under 10 dollars. :B

Agree. If they split it, they will just charge the same price but for each version. I only paid $ 9.95 for mine in a CW store and figure it is one of the best values I have found for anything associated with the RV lifestyle. I am one of those neatniks who even took out the stick on labels for each state and put them on the edge of the book so I can refer to a state quickly.
