Good Sam Card Payment

I hope you can give me some guidance on this problem. I sent my payment to the Barclay Card address as soon as I got the statement. The next day I got the information and the new cards explaining the change of banks. I called Comenity Bank to make sure they would get my payment and they advised me to stop payment on my check and make a payment to them by phone. I went ahead an made a payment to them by phone since I had no statement, but when I called my local bank to get advice on canceling the original payment they said that it had already cleared on 9-3-14 so it cannot be stopped. I only get the recording at Barclay telling me to contact Comenity Bank. My payment has not been credited to my Comenity account and Comenity said that Barclay will not forward it to them because it was after 8-31-14. I would like to talk to someone at Barclay concerning this matter as my original payment was 1000.00. Can you provide me a number to call Barclays that I can get some confirmation that they will refund my payment? Did they give you any information to pass on to all of us that are in this situation? Please help.

  • For anyone else in this situation, my previous payment posted to the new Comenity Bank over the weekend. This happened even though both banks told me that it would not do so automatically. I think there is some major miscommunication going on between the banks and their employees. Anyway, Thanks for anything that you might have done to help me Good Sam.
