Good Sam Club RVer of the Year

I am the Oklahoma Good Sam Club State Director. In late March, Good Sam Club requested on the website (with the form) nominations for RVer of the Year. In April, I submitted, through our South Region Director, a nomination for a very worthy Oklahoma candidate for RVer of the Year. I received an email from Good Sam with the following criteria "All submissions will be reviewed by the International Good Sam Club and a specific number of nominees will be selected in July. Voting by Good Sam members on those candidates will run from August 15th – September 15th (one vote per membership). The winner will be announced in October." I included this information in the May Chapter newsletter to the Oklahoma Good Sam Chapters. When I did not receive any information by the first of August regarding the candidate selections, I emailed Good Sam and on August 16th received the following information from Good Sam "Due to the lack of participation over the past few years the decision has been made to change the RVer of the Year program to more of a member spotlight program campaign." In other words, the process was changed AFTER nominations were solicited, and AFTER voting criteria was sent out. I have some very upset Oklahoma Good Sam chapter members over this unfair decision. I indicated to Good Sam that this was unfair to our candidate but did not receive a response. I am so disappointed with our International Good Sam Club.
