Comedy bank is a major problem. Customer service is friendly, but incompetent. At least when they screwed up my payment, they fixed it at no cost to me, but it took 3 phone calls to complete.
Was there any thought given to asking if your customers wanted to change banks? I was perfectly happy with Barclays. Their rewards offers were excellent (got a new Bose Wave Radio and an awesome pair of binoculars for example) and Comedy's rewards are gas cards and restaurant cards that are less than half the same cost as Barclays were. Did you even give any advance warning about the change?? If so, I never received it...
Most importantly to me, Comedy bank has no smartphone app to check and monitor your account while on the road. Barclays had a GREAT app, especially with the Quick Peek overview. Made it real easy to identify if you had been targeted for theft.
There is NOTHING good about this change for US. I'm guessing they made some special deal for YOU and that is why the change. Well, today I cashed out almost all my rewards points for Amazon gift cards and closed the account. Lost 1700 points, but my new card gave me 2000 points just for signing up, so that helped a little.
Overall, I'm very disappointed with this whole fiasco.
