Good Sam Credit Card

I was surprised to see that no topics have been posted related to the changes related to the Good Sam credit card.

We were notified on August 16 that our cards would expire August 31, due to Barclay Bank no longer carrying the accounts. We were further told that new cards would arrive shortly, and then we could use the new numbers to pay all our automatically-debited accounts.

It is now August 26, five days before our cards expire, and we have yet to receive anything at all from the Good Sam Club. This seems to be just another example of how the Club has gone downhill since the recent change in administration, and since we will not accept that sort of treatment, we will let out membership expire at the end of its term.

Are we the only members who have experienced this problem?
  • Is't changing credit cards on a Sunday of a three day weekend, when most RV'ers are out of town a little silly Marcus?
  • Hope they get here Thursday as Friday we are pulling out for 3 weeks so guess Discover will get my business and Pilot/FK will lose.
  • Correction to my earlier post. Your current Barclays issued card will remain active until August 31st. Your new Good Sam | Camping World Visa will be arriving any time now. You can activate and begin using your new card as of August 31, 2014. Once you have activated your new card, please destroy your old card.

    All of these instruction will be provided with your new credit card but please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have regarding the transition.

    I apologize for any confusion on the change in creditor on your Good Sam Visa from Barclays to Comenity Bank. I have confirmed with the new issuer that the new credit card packages were mailed as scheduled on Friday, August 22nd and should arrive any day now. Please note that your current card is still active and your new Good Sam | Camping World Visa can be activated on August 29th.
