Good Sam discount at Camping World?

Picked up my first TT a few weeks ago, and find that I have to buy A LOT of stuff for it! Comparing prices, I find that about 90% of what I'm looking at is about the same at Camping World vs shopping around at online stores.

My question is - When I am pricing things online, I see everything has an "online discount" on the Camping World website. But whether I log into the site or not, the discount never changes.

Is the "online discount" the same discount/price I will get in the store with my GS discount? Some items are significantly cheaper (50%) from other vendors, but if I received a better discount in the store, it may make it worth the convenience to just pick it up while I'm there buying other stuff anyways.

Any ideas?

One of the biggest issues I run into, is that Amazon opened up a shipping warehouse here in MN - so we've been paying taxes on Amazon stuff since 2014.

These aren't big purchases by any means - definitely no electronics or anything like that. Just random fittings, water filter, sewer hose ,etc.

Great example is to look up the TrailerAid Plus ramps. Its like $35 on Amazon, but $65+ at CW. I'm also looking to replace the "free" sewer hose I got with the trailer for a Rhino hose. Its actually a few cents cheaper at CW then it is on Amazon. Just little things like that, it would be nice to know what the actual price is without having to drive to the store (only about 20 minutes away from me, so not the end of the world)

  • I use CW for having a look see at products I may need, then order it online from Amazon, eBay, or other online retailers that offer better prices, no state tax, or free shipping. I rarely make a special trip to CW mainly stop in when I'm going to that part of town for other purposes.
  • CW has outrageous shipping prices at times. Save yourself the headache and buy from Amazon or another reputable online retailer. You know you will get the items instock in a very timely matter.

Do I go into CW and buy items? absolutely. Instock in store only

I'd suggest you do some research on this forum about CW shopping! Many have complained about not getting the items after paying for them then having problems about getting refunded. They then buy straight from Amazon and are happy.

Yeah, I would never buy online and have it shipped from CW - just making sure I'm accurately pricing stuff when I am checking. Some of the stuff that's less then 50 cents on a $20 item, its worth it to me to go into the store and see it for myself (i.e. garden hoses can be hit or miss, cant tell thickness of hose, flexibility, etc). I like to buy in store when I can, but certainly am not afraid to take my business online when it makes sense.
