Sorry but "Loyalty" never meant anything. Companies usually act in their own best interests (as they see them) and loyalty rarely if ever enters the equation now or in 1960.
What does "Loyalty" have to do with raising rates. A Ins. Co. cannot raise rates without approval from the State Ins. Comm. They are expressing their "Loyalty" to you by offering you coverage at a higher price. You are expressing your "lack of Loyalty" to them by going elsewhere for coverage. Quit complaining and purchase coverage wherever you desire. America is "great". At least you have options.
