I would not consider wiring a spare tire bracket up to be a repair. If you do please call me when you have a problem, I can repair most anything if that is acceptable to you.
Say you break a spring hanger on your tt, the Dispatched service technician wires or chains it into place so your rig can be moved from the highway.
Is that a repair that should be charged for separately or is that something that is included in the charge for recovery service?
Depends on who comes out to I would imagine. I would say that is a repair, albeit temporary. One guy may charge you while another will not. That might also be something covered under your insurance. When we hit a deer with our car a couple months ago, one of the fenders were rubbing a tire. We could not drive it back home for the 4-5 hr drive safely. The insurance company authorized us to make necessary temporary repairs to make it drive able since we were not near home. Even gave us a list of companies to take it to to get it done. Took it to one and the guy got a big pry bar and moved it away so it was free. He could of charged us but didn't. Te insurance company said they would reimburse us for the costs. The guy could of written something up and charge us, but he didn't. It just depends on the person you get.
But all in all, that is going beyond than just hooking up and towing.
