I've had GSRS for about 12 years. Years ago, our coach at the time was a class A gas. The fuel pump died on Sunday and we drifted off the freeway and called GS. The tow arrived within 30 minutes, towed us to his shop (after asking if that's what we wanted), provided power and invited us to enjoy the remained of the day. They repaired the coach the next day under our service policy while we enjoyed the area in our toad. Last month, the slide topper on a large slide on our 40 foot DP started to unravel, also on a Sunday. I pulled into a rest area, tried putting the slide out to see if I could get the topper to re-roll itself. The roller torn off the slide and sat on the top of the slide. I could not retract the slide with the roller on top of it nor could I move the coach. I called GS and spent 30 minutes on the phone with a dispatcher in Texas describing in great detail which rest stop I was at in California and that I just needed help in getting the 16 foot roller off the slide so I could retract the slide and continue. No repair, just get it off. The dispatcher finally said "we have no mobile technicians that work week ends, so I should just call back on Monday and she would schedule someone to come out and help" Through the kindness of strangers, I was able to remove the roller and continue. I have no problem paying for a repair if that's what's necessary, but do rely on the road service to provide a reputable service operator. Seems like something has changed at GS. Sometimes it's better not to even involve the RS folks. I had heard about both GS and Coachnet only providing tire change to a spare or a new tire, no tire service. When my TPM indicated a slow leak on one of my rears as I was pulling into a CG, I asked the office about local tire service. They came out in 20 minutes, removed the tires, determined it was a leaking valve extension, replaced it,checked air in all six tires and presented a bill for $50, more than fair and much easier than dealing with GS.
