Good Sam or Good Scam?

Marcus,
Whats up with your roadside assistance program? Had it a couple years ago and no problems. Renewed policy in May and on May 29 received email you were waiting on payment processing and I would recieve a link to download card and member brochure. Well my friend here it is almost 1 month later and no reply. Not a good start. Now I'm reading you dont insure rv's unless I upgrade to platinum plan which was not listed anywhere that I could see. Also my premium would be automatically renewed which I not not approve. All in all a very bad omen as to what would take place if I ever needed emergency service.
I am giving you a chance to answer my concerns and IF you do we'll then see how it goes from there

I chucked GS awhile back because the service in general has gone down hill. A road service for a flat tire cost my friend over $700 because although he had paid they claimed he hadn't "registered". So I went in and checked and much of what they used to offer was gone. I went with Coach Net and have used it once for a lock out and they were right on time.

Smart! Been with Coachnet 6 years plus and top notch service. GS is for the new guys don't know better.

  • AAA hasn't looked at my plastic card in the last couple of years when I've need assistance but they are still provided.

    Hello JR51,

Thanks for your response. The cards are now digital. I'd be happy to email them to you if you'd like to the email address that we have on file. Please advise either here or in a PM.

    Thanks and Happy Friday!

    No more plastic cards?
Where, in my renewal documents email, are they actually located?
    Are they included as attachments?
Now you've got me confused, too.

  • Click the "Roadside Assistance" link at the top of this page.
Then click "Find a Plan" link near the top of the newly opened page.
Select whichever plan you want from the drop down, and it will tell you what's covered and what's not.
The towables versus motorized coverage change happened a while ago.

I renewed 2 weeks ago for 5 years, and am still waiting for the new plastic membership cards.
I'm trying to be patient. If they're a no show in another 2 weeks, I'll follow up then.

Good luck with your other questions.
