Good Sam Perks

I was checking out the Good Sam Club website the other day and found the "Good Sam Perks" section. I watched the video and went to access the section but I could not, it was showing "Renew Today to Gain Access to Good Sam Perks". I always renew my membership for 2 years at a time since I became a member in 2009, my membership does not expire till September so I figured this must be a glitch. I called the phone number listed and the lady I spoke to said she was going to reset my password and that would fix the problem. It did not so I called back this morning and was informed I WOULD have to renew my membership to gain access! Surely this is a mistake on your staff's part? Otherwise this is a low blow to gain renewals! As long as I am a current member I should have access to all benefits my membership entails. If this is the direction the Good Sam club is going then I am most likely not going to renew my membership any more.

  • If these Perks are part of the membership, why does someone with a current membership need to renew to gain access? This strategy confuses me a bit.

    The Good Sam Club Perks would activate with a one year renewal membership. You do not need to renew for more than one year to receive the perks.

    No thanks it seems to be a thought out process on Good Sam's side to boost renewals.Good Sam might want to just give eveyone immediate access instead of forcing a renewal. I will opt out UNTIL I decide if I will re-up in May.

    ONE QUESTION you could answer on this thread IS IF A low level membership will get us access to the discounts or does it have to be a premium membership level? (IE deluxe etc)

  • Yes it did the same to me even though I am a current member. Wants me to renew in order to gain access.
