This is our third year with an RV and 3rd year with GSRA. In year one while on the other side of the continent we had a tire issue. Called GSRA. They were going to call a tow truck from their list but I gave them the name of a tire repair facility that was very near to where I was who's name they didn't have. They allowed me to get it fixed there, at the place most convenient to me and, no doubt, cheaper for them as well. Very satisfied.
In year two I stupidly locked myself out of my vehicle with keys inside while at the mall - called GSRA and they had somebody there within 15 mins.
They have to rely upon the same service companies as AAA/CAA/CoachNet, etc. Changing roadside assistance companies will no help you is you are in an area where the only tow guy in 100 miles is not dependable.
