GOOD SAM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Traveled in my Allegro Motorhome this past weekend ( 6/14-16/2014.
My coach starting smoking black smoke out of the exhaust, more than normal, looks like raw diesel all over my tow vehicle. I made it to my destination and call a RV Repair Facility to come to the park and check this thing out. I was told not to drive it by a few other repair dealers so I did not.
Called GSRA,(I have been a member for 25 years)this happened on a Friday and I called them Saturday morning to request & set up a tow for Monday AM @ 9:00. No problem says GSRA so I am cool and the wife & I can continue on with our plans.
Monday morning @9:30AM, no call or Tow Truck so I called GSRA back and said they show my request but cannot locate a Tow Truck and was unable to assist me at this time. They have my Vehicle Type, Length, etc so I called the repair dealer and got me a tow vehicle.
There is a whole lot more to this story, that was just the first part and the run around go from phone number to phone number. I was and still disappointed with the service and if you read the policy it is so simple, kind of like ABC or 123 and it gets done. I had to wait at least 4-6 hours before a Tow Truck shows up,,the one the rv repair dealer lined up not GSRA.
I have a feeling my next struggle will be with my ESP Policy & Procedures.....MAYBE NOT...WE SHALL SEE AND IF SO i AM READY TO TRY OTHER EXTENDED WARRANTIES AND ROADSIDE ASST PROGRAMS.
