The new Swipe & Save program will function exactly as the old RV loyalty cards did only with a better discount on gas ($0.03 off instead of $0.02). So you can still swipe your credit/debit card and the pump with this new program.
This new card is simply a way for the Good Sam Club and PFJ to team up and make it easier for all Good Sam Club members to save, just as you mentioned in your post.
You do not need to "sign up" for a new card as the Swipe & Save will also function as your Good Sam Club Membership Card.
As mentioned, you are welcome to use your RV Plus Card as well if you want the bigger fuel discount. Also, the RV Plus card allows that charged amount to be drafted automatically from your account if you wish, making the bill pay very simple.
