Have never had any problems with GSRA (you don't have to be a Good Sam Club member to get the Roadside Assistance - not sure where you read that). They've always been able to help me whenever I've called, and I've been a member since 2007, when we switched from CAA. We decided we didn't need all the bells and whistles we were paying extra for with CAA. GSRA is just simple basic roadside assistance, no travel guides, or Disney discounts, or free trip ticks, they just send you a tow truck or whatever when you need it. They do offer some extras, like a concierge service, but we've never really needed more than a battery boost or a tow, so we're not experts on that stuff. The 3 year renewal was our last choice, for about what you quoted.
I got a Coachnet 1 year membership free included with my Winnebago purchase, but since we've been house bound for a while now, we haven't had a chance to use it. Maybe later this summer or fall.
Everyone's experiences are different with the various ERS companies, they all have their pros and cons. You'll get both sides of that fence.
I like Good Sam RA and am considering becoming a member of the Good Sam Club to get one of the RV Plus credit cards. Apparently, it can be used like a fleet card at Pilot/Flying J truck islands for diesel and DEF. We drive a "diesel puller" now so that would eliminate the need to pre-pay at the trucker islands. Others have recommended the RV Plus card, but you have to be a Good Sam Club member to apply. I think I'd like to be able to swipe and pump, instead of pre-paying. My problem is timing, getting a "club" member ship to coincide with my "Roadside Assistance" renewal in a couple of months.
Maybe Ella or one of the other site monitors could help me with that?
