I'm just guessing, but I don't think you mean roadside assistance, I believe you are talking about the extended warranty. I do have an extended warranty, not GS, and I have had many different companies extended warranties over the years. All require prior authorization before the work is done, and this usually is only available during "normal business hours." Of course the company needs to verify the VIN number, mileage, ownership, etc, otherwise anyone could use your policy for their vehicle. If you are really writing about roadside assistance, you made it to a service facility, therefore GS would have no responsibility. JMHO
