Gross Error in new Directory?

Has any members here read it yet? Evidently GS can't find their copy. :) :)

Hi everyone - I checked with the author to clarify this passage in our Beginner's Guide to RV Travel in the 2014 Good Sam RV Travel Guide. We definitely didn't adequately explain the process involved in emptying holding tanks on pages 56 and 57.

We should have specified that that the black tank dump valve should be opened only after the black tank is adequately full. Please consult this excerpt from an article on our Good Sam Camping blog that addresses the concerns posted.

Just wondering if you've had the opportunity to check this out? A lot of new and inexperienced rv owners, who are misinformed by this statement, could be in for a very rude awakening.

Yeah!

Lawsuits based on fluff pieces written under pseudonyms for campground come-ons are really plugging up the Courts with "I trusted you!" claims...;)

Next up:

"You said they had a 24/7 hot tub"!

Bet there is going to be lot's of memos and meetings over this of it is true. Plus the expense of poop pyramid litigation lawyers and experts over the liability issues that could arise. Wonder if they included some sort of disclaimer in the directory.
Reminds me how great retirement really is.

What is the question?

The way the question was phrased in the opening post led a lot of folks to believe that the question was per whether the advice given was true, so many folks answered that it is not.

What he was TRYING to ask was/is whether or not the bad info is actually printed in the Good Sam guide. Ellen from Good Sam is off to find a copy and look.

There are several possible explanations for why it's taking a while, such as:

1)This question is so earthshattering that a Meeting of High Ranking Officials has been called and their respective Corporate jets have been delayed by the weather at O'Hare airport.

OR

2) Ellen from Good Sam doesn't have a paper copy so she's gone to the closest Flying J to buy one...which Flying J is unfortunately two States away from the location of her office.

Thanks for getting back first thing at the beginning of your work day Monday- but really: from now on we require you to be on duty 200 hours a week. Please note that since there are only 168 hours in a week, we expect your family to chip in the difference...;)

Wasn't concerned about the time, just that a majority of posts did not even attempt to actually answer the question.

So it has been over three hours now, what do you think the hold up is? LOL
