I called GS when I needed help. I called GS afterward, to report the Ardmore OK incident, but got no response. Why at this late date do they care? I should call GS or the CEO again? Heck NO! No amount of remuneration (which I did not/do not ask for) will undo what has happened to me and my husband.
I'm not trying to be critical, and won't go down to the level of some of the immature comments by our forum members. But, I have to ask as to the point of repeatedly posting the same issue, which appears more out of frustration? Considering that you've indicated you haven't or won't discuss the matter with anyone who can at least try to address your concerns? It won't accomplish anything in the end?
It's not uncommon that one needs to escalate issues within a company, working your way up the supervisory ladder. And you can't go any higher than the CEO?
Again, I'm not judging your situation. However, I can relate personally to caring for a critically ill family member, and know the challenges involved with travel. I had a family member who had total kidney(renal) failure, and required dialysis treatments 3 times a week, for 4 hours at a facility. I know we have some forum members in the same situation.
This makes long term travel extremely challenging, as you basically have a day free, and need treatment the following day, except for a two day break once a week. The other alternative is daily self treatments. It takes careful, not to mention strict planning on travel days. And you do need to have some backup contingencies. But not always possible, as one does not have control over many situations. I've experienced airline flight delays, one mechanical breakdown on the road, and also had a good Samaritan come to the rescue one time.
Notwithstanding, my family member was able to attend 3 FMCA conventions and 2 Rallys, taking dialysis treatments from a local facility per-arranged 4-6 weeks in advance.
So one may ask, why travel at all with such a serious medical condition? Simple! You can either have your medical treatments completely dominate your life, which is not really living? Certainly, with limited or no quality of life. Or live around your medical issues, and do the best you can to enjoy your life under the circumstances? It's a choice one has to make?
