I don't think that's true. GS will pay for the service call, just not the labor or parts (if required). I recently had a serpentine belt break, and since it was Sunday, GS not only paid for the tow truck and towing me about 15 miles to an RV park, but also paid for the service call of the technician to come out the next day to replace the belt. I had to pay for his labor and for the new belt.
