Personally, I will ne4ver use National General ever again1. Back IN 2001, We had a bad crash (are any ever good?) In Manitoba,Ca. Seems freak wind gust flipped the trailer we were towing with our Goldwing causing us to crash at 55mph in a 65 zone. DW had 6 shattered ribs and collarbone. Hospital overdosed her on morphine (great for Socialized Medicine) and she spent 12 days on a ventilator and another 5 in the hospital. When it came time to pay our hospital bill which came to $10576.00 Canadian $$$, I had (I thought) $10K in Passenger Insurance which I had paid for 11 years with my various bikes. Nat'l General said NOPE, NO Coverage as she was my spouse and spouses weren't covered. I was fortunate and only, ripped up my right rotator cuff. Thank goodness for Tricare-for-Life. We were covered. Cancelled my policy and vowed to never ever use National General. They turned out to be crooks in my opinion. When I initiated my policy I said that it was only for my wife as I never carried passengers other than her. 12 years and that was the only claim. They did pay fully for my Wing and my Timeout bike-camper and I mean FULLY.
