Thanks for your post. In February, 2014 current subscribers who are active Good Sam members will have their subscriptions extended 4 months. This is a onetime event. In addition, current subscribers (who are Good Sam members) will be offered discounted renewal rates in the future. I hope this clears up the confusion.

I have received lots of feedback on Highways magazine. Not ALL of it is has been positive, including my own perspective. Over the past few years, our team has worked to make positive changes in an attempt to produce the publication that you want. Despite the attempts, it seems that we continue to get constructive feedback that indicates you want something different. We often hear comments like: too much advertising, not enough content, too much wasted paper, not enough RV technical, travel and destination stories – just to name a few. I have come up with a solution that I believe will address your feedback.

My goal is simple:
• Give you more and better editorial
• Reduce advertising
• Continue to provide the content you love from Highways

To accomplish this goal here is my plan:
• Beginning in February 2014, we will provide you with four (4) FREE quarterly issues of either Trailer Life or MotorHome magazine
• You can select which magazine you wish to receive for these four quarterly issues–Trailer Life or MotorHome–included FREE as part of your Good Sam Club membership
• In the future, your Highways magazine (less all the advertising) will be inserted into each of your four FREE quarterly issues of Trailer Life or MotorHome magazine
• These four FREE quarterly issues will be delivered at NO COST to you–now and in the future–as long as you are a Good Sam Club member

Here’s how you select which magazine you wish to receive – Trailer Life or MotorHome:

If you’re already a subscriber to Trailer Life or MotorHome magazine:
• There’s nothing more to do

You may get two issues of the smae month for those 4 times. I had a subscription for TL and when I went to an RV show, they gave you a 6 month subscription. For those 6 months, I received 2 copies. Gave one to a coworker.

Question for you, would rather not subscribe to the magazine at all and only get the 4 copies per year included in your GS membership? You would be ok not receiving the other 8 months? Not sure if they do it , but maybe a discounted subscription rate for members for the yearly subscription. Maybe they do it, I don't know. The last time I subscribed, I did it for 2 years and it cost me less than $6 total I believe. Anyone know of those deals out there again? lol

You can personally select exactly which Good Sam services you want (or don't want) to receive in the mail through your profile on the website. If you don't want to receive extended warranty offers then deselect that items from the list.

I don't understand this thought process that Highways magazine is being dropped. It is being mailed inside of another magazine as has been stated numerous times here.

I too am disappointed that you are dropping Highways magazine. I had just renewed my Good Sam for another year mostly for it since I don't frequent private RV parks except with a club campout. I have been a subscriber to Motorhome Magazine since 2004. I also take exception to the $20 gift certificate that expired two weeks after I got it and could only be used in person at a Camping World store of which the closest one to me is 250 miles. When this year expires I won't renew for sure this time. The Good Sam******in my mailbox hasn't lessened including for the extended warranty offer for my too old coach.

All I get is the error message too.

I am pretty sure Highways comes more than 4 times a year..........

I know that they have the right to make changes to the benefit pretty much any time, but buying into this on a lifetime membership based upon free shipping (no restriction) and now the deal with Highways I am starting to feel really disappointed in the whole thing and wonder what benefit is the next one to be cut off or cut back.
